Deskbell is run by Muhammad Umais Brohi ("we" or "us"). This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.
What we collect
- Your account: your name, email address and login details. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.
- Your space: its name, address, time zone, billing email, payment link and payment instructions.
- What you add about your members: names, email addresses, companies, plans, desks, bookings, invoices and the emails sent to them.
- Technical records: IP address, browser type and logs of errors and activity, which keep the service working and secure.
- Payments: Paddle handles these. We see your plan and payment status, never your full card number.
How we use it
- To run Deskbell for you, including sending the invoices and reminders you set up
- To send you messages about your account and the service
- To answer you when you ask for help
- To keep the service secure and fix what breaks
If you are a member of a coworking space
Your space added your details to Deskbell and decides how they are used. We hold them only on the space's behalf. If you want to see, correct or remove them, please ask your space first. If you cannot reach them, write to us and we will help.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to sign you in and keep your account secure. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Who helps us run Deskbell
These companies process data for us, and only what they need for their job:
- Clerk: sign-in and accounts
- Vercel: hosting
- Neon: database
- Resend: sending email
- Paddle: payments, tax and receipts
- Sentry and Better Stack: error reports and logs, when we have them switched on
We share data beyond this only if the law requires it, or to protect the service and the people who use it.
Where your data is
Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is active. When your subscription or trial ends, we keep it for up to 12 months so you can come back to everything as you left it, and then delete it. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time. We may keep payment and tax records for longer where the law requires.
Your choices and rights
Write to support@deskbellhq.com to get a copy of your data, correct it, delete it or object to how we use it. We reply within 30 days.
Depending on where you live, for example in the EU, the UK or California, the law may give you further rights, including complaining to your data protection authority. We do not sell or share personal information as California law defines those words.
Security
Data travels over encrypted connections, each space's data is kept apart from every other space's, and passwords are handled by Clerk, so we never see them. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you.
Children
Deskbell is not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
If we make an important change, we will email you before it takes effect, and the date at the top of this page will change.
